Irene Pasquale

Doctor of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, MAc., RYT, RM, Licensed Acupuncturist

Hailing from Back Bay, Irene began her education at Skidmore College studying mathematics and painting, but graduated from Lesley University with a BA in Holistic Psychology and Mindfulness Studies. Irene continued her intellectual pursuits and completed her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Health at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science.

Before joining Johnston Family Acupuncture, Irene worked at Massachusetts General Hospital where she provided acupuncture treatments to the oncology staff. She is also certified in Reiki and is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a special interest in yoga for trauma. Irene combines the wisdom of ancient healing arts with the practicality of evidence-based techniques.

She employs an integrative approach to every patient's care, and fundamentally believes in the body’s ability to heal itself when given the proper tools. Her mission is to aid in restoring balance to the human body mainly through acupuncture and secondarily through the use of yoga, meditation, and practiced awareness. Although trained as a general practitioner, Irene has found great success in treating disharmonies of the spirit-body-mind connection, chronic and acute pain, autoimmune disorders, digestive issues, allergies, headaches and women's health.

When she is not working, she can be found painting or spending time outside with her daughter and dog!
